Peter Cushing, Nigel Stock, Gary Raymond. Not to be confused with the 1959 Hammer version. The English moors reverberate with the baying sound of a monstrous creature, one that seems hell-bent on taking the life of Sir Henry Baskerville. Cushing is very effective as Sherlock Holmes. An interesting mixture of taped and filmed sequences. Memorable. Highly recommended.

This is the original 6-part teleseries that was the follow-up to the earlier teleseries, The Quatermass Experiment (1953). There is something very wrong with a huge chemical factory out in the wilds of rural England. An alien horror is afoot! The scenes in this marvelous teleseries range from thought-provoking to downright terrifying. Wow... A terrific script, is complimented by great, believable performances. British science fiction doesn't get much better than this.

Wolfgang Preiss, Pierre Brice, Dany Carrel. An exhibit of strange female statues in an old windmill turns out to be a bizarre front for a mad scientist who's murdering young girls and using their blood to keep his daughter alive. The statues, needless to say, aren't really what they appear to be. A nightmarish and gruesome film. Need any spare body parts? From 16mm.

Carl Lange, Joachim Fuchsberger, Siegfried Lowitz. A young American detective becomes involved in a series of ghastly crimes. The only clue to be found is the mysterious seal of the White Frog. Another well-done German-made Wallace thriller. From 16mm.

A Scotland Yard inspector travels all over London gathering the evidence needed to put a big drug-smuggling gang into the slammer. There are more than enough dead bodies to provide clues, as the gang is unusually ruthless.

This is probably the best quality DVD available of this PRC espionage thriller. Carradine and Naish are Nazi spies combing the San Francisco waterfront for a stolen code book, which also has the names of countless Nazi agents. They soon leave a trail of brutal killings and blackmail, with Carradine gunning down victim after victim lots of luger shootings. Probably Carradine's most ruthless portrayal. The final scene between him and Naish is most memorable. Way above average for the usual PRC...

Rudolph Klein Rogge, Oskar Beregi, Camilla Spira, Theodor Loos. Directed by Fritz Lang. Another horror classic. Truly one of the best 'mad doctor' movies ever made. This is the supernatural fantasy about the evil Dr. Mabuse, who terrorizes a German city. Not to be missed. From 16mm.

This has got to be the most bizarre movie of Cushing's career. He plays an actor who is famous for playing Dracula, but who now no longer wants to do horror. Instead he wants to do romance, so his producer sends two screenwriters to his castle to convince him otherwise. What follows is scene after scene of surrealistic moments of horror and off-beat comedy. And then there's the climax, which will blow your mind its so far out in left field. This movie plays almost like a long dream sequence....

Barbara Steele, George Riviere. An excellent horror film about a writer who accepts a bet that he'll be alive in the morning after spending the night in a haunted castle. Top notch, supernatural horror as Barbara portrays a tortured member of the living dead. 35mm.
