A routine trip to the moon is sabotaged by a fanatical author who believes in life on Mars. After taking over the spaceship, he and his kidnapped crew head for Mars. Command control back on Earth tries to figure out what's going on. What will they find on the red planet? Lots of space opera intrigue. The special effects, while somewhat primitive, aren't bad and add a certain charm to the proceedings. This is a well-made six-part Brit TV series on two discs.

A young shepherd is given a magic woodwind instrument to help him conquer his foes. This movie is filled with dark fantasy and has its fair share of creepy moments. Look for evil wizards, storm demons even flying sheep! Has the look and feel of many Euro-fantasy films of the period. The final scene where the stone figures return to life is awesome.

What a great surprise this nifty (nifty is the word) British murder mystery turned out to be. Insurance investigator Griffin Jones is duped by a gorgeous blonde and framed for murdering the wife of a rich businessman. His boss, the beautiful Hazel Court, helps hide him from the cops until they can find out who the killer really is. This forgotten British old dark house thriller would have been a perfect fit for one of the Forgotten Horrors books. The setting is a creepy mansion filled with secret passageways, trap doors, snake pits, sliding floors, and secret rooms. Pusey's uncle is the mansion's owner who is slain by a falling pillar, pushed over from above by an unknown killer. Inside the mansion gather a number of mysterious people: a sinister Oriental doctor and his servants, a bumbling yet sly butler, a secretive...

This has got to be the most bizarre movie of Cushing's career. He plays an actor who is famous for playing Dracula, but who now no longer wants to do horror. Instead he wants to do romance, so his producer sends two screenwriters to his castle to convince him otherwise. What follows is scene after scene of surrealistic moments of horror and off-beat comedy. And then there's the climax, which will blow your mind its so far out in left field. This movie plays almost like a long dream sequence....

A wonderful Euro-chiller. This special 2-disc, widescreen edition contains both the 78-minute American theatrical edition (Horrible/Hichcock) and its longer, 84-minute British counterpart, The Terror of Dr. Hichcock, which has five to six more minutes of footage and is edited slightly different. A fascinating film that starts out as a crime thriller, then veers into horror. A young man is falsely accused of murdering his former girlfriend. He and his female companion are pursued across the dark, rainy countryside only to find themselves in the creepy dwelling of a mad killer who sets out to murder them both. Discussed at length in Wm. K. Everson's MORE CLASSICS OF THE HORROR FILM. A must-see for 30s' horror and mystery fans.

SPECIAL ANAMORPHIC WIDESCREEN EDITON: Only Ed Wood could have scripted something like this a low budget western with topless Indian maidens prancing about. A couple of low-down gunslingers try to heist a rich gold strike. Little do they know the gold is guarded by an all-female tribe of deadly but voluptuous Indian gals. The final scene where the Indian maidens attack is, to say the least, hilarious!

An evil pirate menaces the sea lanes, attacking and looting ships. Crews are slain and women are sold off as slaves. Samson comes to the rescue. The coolest scene has Samson engaged in a tug of war against an entire ship and its oarsmen, his life on the line unless he wins. Some pretty good action and Lee's beauty is always a thing to behold.

This fine German old dark house chiller actually pre-dates the classic 1933 Universal film of the same name. So it's apparent the Universal version was actually a remake. We all know the story: horrible murders occur in a "haunted" room in a mysterious chateau riddled with mysterious characters and secret passageways.
