Chuck Scott, Adam Sorg, directed by Hershell Gordon Lewis. This is a pretty amazing movie. Not much of a plot really, just lots of hootin and hollerin, feuds, stills, singing, and gory murders. The scene where Scotts wife runs off into the woods with the local pug ugly sherill is pretty hysterical. A true study in backwoods southerners and hillbillies of the 1960s. Crude and cheap, but fascinating in its own way. Color, 35mm.

A top-of-the-line drive-in classic. Radiation has caused ordinary leeches to mutate into giant monsters. They threaten the folks in a small bayou town. Vickers is at her sleaziest, sexiest best as the local storekeepers unfaithful wife. She and her lover are caught by her husband and driven into the swamp where the monsters pull them down into the slime. Why did she marry Bruno to begin with? Lots of great rubber-monsters-causing-mayem scenes. Unforgettable. From a beautiful 16mm original...

Lucy Kelly, Annabelle Lee, George Edgely, Max Anderson. Although the competition is keen, this is probably our favorite exploitation film SHANTY TRAMP is right up there, too. See it to believe it. A brick-house sex kitten Kelly makes the move on everyone from young studs to old men she seems to really enjoy doing it, too. In particular, she has her eye on elderly Uncle Shug, who showers her with money in return for companionship and "favors." There's just one hitch, when she moves in, Uncle...

Peter Cushing, Nigel Stock, Gary Raymond. Not to be confused with the 1959 Hammer version. The English moors reverberate with the baying sound of a monstrous creature, one that seems hell-bent on taking the life of Sir Henry Baskerville. Cushing is very effective as Sherlock Holmes. An interesting mixture of taped and filmed sequences. Memorable. Highly recommended.

This is probably the best quality DVD available of this PRC espionage thriller. Carradine and Naish are Nazi spies combing the San Francisco waterfront for a stolen code book, which also has the names of countless Nazi agents. They soon leave a trail of brutal killings and blackmail, with Carradine gunning down victim after victim lots of luger shootings. Probably Carradine's most ruthless portrayal. The final scene between him and Naish is most memorable. Way above average for the usual PRC...

A poorly edited, yet intriguing documentary about Hitler and Mussolini. There are some interesting home movies of Eva Braun and her scantily-clad girlfriends swimming, too! More vivid is the gut-wrenching footage of Nazi atrocities NO! we don't recommend this for the kids. Mussolini and other war criminals are also shown in death. Nightmarish to say the least. Dwain Esper supposedly had a hnad in it. Re-released in later years with footage of Mao added. 35mm.

A diamond merchant is found dead, murdered, inside a car near a gloomy, muddy, foggy French crossroads. Nearby lays a villa, a broken down garage & gas station, and a house next to it. A one-eyed Dane and his slatternly sister are the initial suspects, but with the arrival of the great French inspector Maigret, it becomes clear that far more is going on than a simple case of murder. Incredibly atmospheric, with much of the footage shot at night. You can almost feel the fog seeping in. French,...

Sean Flynn, Jose Ferrer, Nicole Courcel. An outstanding film about an American Army train going from Berlin into the West Zone. On board is an East German stowaway. The Russians get wind of it and stop the train. A standoff between the good guys and the commies ensues. A very literate, engaging script that keeps your interest perked. This film, more than any other, showed the acting potential of Errol Flynn's son, Sean, who plays the lead role. From 16mm.

An acting troupe secures an old theater for the group's new play. They are warned by the aging caretaker that the theater is home to a vampire, who might be awakened. The group pays no heed, though, and when the vampire shows up, it sees that the most beautiful member of the troupe looks lke the woman he once loved in real life. Things spiral downhill from there. Lots of gothic thrills in this well-made chiller.
