A mysterious criminal gang relocates to jolly old London. Their plan? To extort as much money as they can from various British elders. There's murder involved, too. Chris plays an FBI agent sent in to help Scotland Yard track down a murdering blackmailer and help bust up this international crime syndicate. Kinski has a nice supporting role; always great to see Lee; and Mell is always terrific eye candy. Anamorphic, from a very nice 35mm print.

A woman under suspicion of witchcraft is burned alive. Her curse brings her back from the dead for revenge. Ardisson really gets it in the end! Barbara's seldom looked more beautiful. Lots of great moments, especially the flaming finale. A very moody, atmospheric euro-horror thriller that's probably one of Barbara's five best films.

Jackson plays a recently-released-from-prison convict who has trouble finding work. He changes name and gets a good job at a real estate office. Even better, he meets a beautiful woman and soon has a budding relationship with her. But into each life a little rain must fall, and soon one of Jackson's old prison pals shows up and threatens to expose him. Blackmail then ensues but soon comes to a breaking point. Nicely made little British crime film.

After receiving radio waves from our solar system, the inhabitants of planet Centuria send out a starship toward Earth. Dues to technical problems, though, their starship is forced to land on Mars. Earth sends a rescue party to rescue the alien visitors. However, upon arrival, and in a scene similar to Alien, they discover a solitary, dead Centurian astronaut at the starship controls. What happened to the other Centurian spacemen? The answer appears to lie on the distant Martian moon, Phobos....

Although Tarkan Vs. the Vikings is filled with the cheapest costumes imaginable, cardboard sets, inept special effects, and cheesy monsters, it's the best Turkish movie we've ever seen from the '60s or '70s. It really does have that kind of "big epic-spectacle film" feel to it. And it's great fun in spite of all its obvious (sometimes really obvious) weaknesses. This is the second in the "Dr. Orlof" series about the good doctor and his latest monstrosity. The storyline features a beautiful young woman who travels to the forlorn castle of her mysterious uncle. The uncle is working on a decidedly sinister experiment. This marvelous Russian fantasy is similar to Pinocchio. It's a combination of live action and animation and it's filled with fantastic characters and magical moments. The climax is quite memorable, featuring a magnificent airborne sailing ship. Cool. Some of this is reminiscent of George Pal's stop-motion animation shorts of the '30s and '40s. A wonderful music score compliments the proceedings. 6.6 on IMDB. English Subtitles. 35mm.

This made-for-TV chiller has the same kind of feel as Christopher Lee's The Wicker Man. After parting ways with her long term lover, Cropper takes refuge in a lonely country house. She gets to know the local villagers, who seem friendly at first; yet there seems to be something latently sinister about their intentions. After falling into a relationship with a young gamekeeper, she finds herself spiraling down a pathway toward inescapable horror. Kinescope 35mm.

Small poison gas balls mean certain death in this well-made, stylish Krimi Euro-thriller. These pellets of death are used by a mad genius to gain revenge against his adversaries. An art restorer comes to a small village to restore a fresco painted by a degenerate artist. After meeting the hunchback mayor, he begins to sense something creepy about the people of the village as though they are hiding something. He soon visits the old house where the artist lived and finds strange-looking mouths painted on the windows. Soon his feelings of mystery turn to feelings of horror. An exceptional Euro-horror film. A beautiful Chinese maiden (who could easily pass for white) enters into a more or less "arranged" marriage with an older, wealthy Dutch businessman.
