Synopsis

Every week, The Star and the Story presented a brand-new drama with Hollywood's biggest names in front of and behind the camera. In Australia, where homegrown television drama had yet to take off, the series aired under the name Whitehall Playhouse.

HER CROWNING GLORY: A new hat transforms an unemployed woman into the toast of the city. Starring Teresa Wright and John Litel.

THE MAN WHO WAS DEAD: A man returns from the dead to bring peace to his feuding family. Starring Thomas Mitchell and Chuck Connors.

ARAB DUEL: A motion picture producer suspects his wife is cheating on him with a screenwriter. Starring Sidney Blackmer, Hugh O'Brian, and Hillary Brooke.
