Synopsis
Will, an American architect living in London, receives word from his sister Jeannie of his estranged mother's death. Begrudgingly, he returns home for the funeral, only to learn that he must transport his mother's ashes to their final resting place at his Aunt Kay's ranch. Reluctantly agreeing, Will sets forth on an odyssey through the American West that brings him back in contact with the ghosts of a life he had long since left behind. Arriving to Kay after several missteps, she counsels him that he must accept his past. Will then meets a young Shoshone woman, Alva, and through a brief but powerful connection, endures a reckoning with nature, family, and his past.
