Synopsis
Likeable whodunit woven around the theater and members of 'the royal family of that era'....It zips along at a merry pace that arrests attention from outset and sustains it throughout.... Kay Aldridge is making her Broadway debut in a new play. Preem is snafued by murder of her wealthy uncle backstage. Alan Mowbray, the actress's father, is suspected. Although starring in a current hit, he's known to be short of coin. Being next of kin he'll naturally inherit his brother's estate. Dave O'Brien, drama critic, muffs the murder yarn for his sheet but later teams with...head of the homicide squad, to crack the case. This and two other murders are pinned on Mowbray's dresser.
