Synopsis
The sun isn't setting yet on the once-famous acting coach Sandy Kominsky and his cantankerous longtime agent, Norman Newlander. Academy Award winners Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin star as best friends who keep each other going as they navigate their twilight years in youth-obsessed Los Angeles. Mortality is something other people deal with until Sandy is forced to face his when Norman's wife, Eileen, becomes terminally ill. From then on, it's Sandy and Norman against the world, tackling every curveball life tosses their way. Bizarre funeral stipulations, senior dating, the aging of male body parts, a drug-addicted adult daughter and an overdue IRS bill: All are fodder for big laughs and heartfelt drama in this 8-episode first season from creator Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Mom).
