The House debated and approved (224-206) the Equality Act, which would add LGBTQ anti-discrimination protections to the Civil Rights Act. Three Republicans voted in favor of the measure. Members continued work on a bill to increase protected wilderness and scenic river areas in California, Colorado, and Washington state.
