Synopsis
The passion to build higher has been around for hundreds of years. The great medieval master builders competed to build the tallest and most slender bell towers and cathedral spires, without knowing much about the science of building loads. But it is really the master builders of modern America who have taught the world how to reach towards the clouds. Today no city is complete, from New York to Shanghai, without its skyscrapers. This film lays bare the science and the art of skyscraper construction.
