Synopsis
Inspired by the global best-selling novel La Reina Del Sur by internationally acclaimed author Arturo Pe rez-Reverte, Queen of the South tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga), a woman who seeks refuge in America after being forced to run from the Mexican cartel. Eventually rising to power, Teresa now rules over her own drug trafficking empire. In Season 5, Teresa finally embraces her Queenpin status and all that comes with it. While she has tried to maintain a strong moral code by leading with her heart, those values have begun to compromise her ability to stay on top.
