Synopsis

Jeff is an insomniac, struggling with the loss of his wife. When a strange jellyfish creature arrives at his house in the middle of the night, he takes it in and looks after it. Two uniformed police officers arrive on bicycles -- they tie up Jeff and try to take the creature away, but it electrifies them and Jeff escapes with it on a stolen bicycle. He tries to ditch the creature, but is persuaded to take it to a safe house. There they meet Joanne, with a baby jellyfish creature and a similar story of grief to Jeff. The creature tells Jeff that they all must go to Cleopatra's Needle, the ancient obelisk in the centre of London. Joanne resists and threatens Jeff with a gun. He overpowers her and heads to The Needle with the creatures, but can he get there before the evil police? And could this adventure change the way he deals with the loss of his wife?
