Synopsis
Intimate Agony -- Digitally Remastered. This made-for-television movie stars soap-opera favorites Anthony Geary (General Hospital) and Judith Light (One Life to Live, Ugly Betty) as doctor Kyle Richardson and Marsha Sarno, tourists at a posh resort community that is overwhelmed by an outbreak of genital herpes. Though Dr. Richardson works tirelessly to keep the disease under control, villainous land developer Dave Fairmont (Robert Vaughn) will use any means necessary to keep the public in the dark about the epidemic. Mark Harmon (Chicago Hope, NCIS) also appears. Originally titled Lovesick, the film was directed by Paul Wendkos (Gidget) and calls to mind the VD-related morality films of the 1920s and 30s.
