Synopsis
Singer/songwriter Willie Nelson is the heart and soul of Honeysuckle Rose, a steel-stringed portrayal of life on the road with a country music band -- and of the romantic potholes that somehow can't be avoided. The film's not autobiographical...but Nelson knows the territory. Dyan Cannon, Amy Irving, Slim Pickens and members of Nelson's own band join in this engagingly authentic film that has the knack for providing the right song -- including Academy Award nominee "On the Road Again" along with "Whiskey River," "Loving Her Was Easier," "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground" and more than 14 others -- at the right time.
