Synopsis
Leading man Jeffrey Lynn (The Roaring Twenties) plays the downtrodden Blake Washburn, a defeated politician who takes over as editor of a small town newspaper in this comedic romance from writer and director Arthur Pierson. When Washburn discovers the undeniable influence his little paper has on the public, he uses it to appeal to potential voters in the next election. Watch for strong performances from a stellar cast, including Oscar Winner Donald Crisp (How Green Was My Valley), Marjorie Reynolds (Holiday Inn) and an appearance by the great Marilyn Monroe in a small but significant role as Iris, Washburn's shapely office assistant.
