Synopsis

Gymnastics is a great sport for young children and can provide them with a variety of benefits. In this comprehensive program, coach Amy Eggleston teaches essential techniques for pre-school through level two gymnasts. Among the topics covered are: warm ups, how to fall, skill progressions and drills for tumbling, balance beam, bars and vault. These skills are incorporated into two fun obstacle courses to build confidence and correct techniques, as well as improve strength and coordination. This DVD is an excellent resource for young gymnasts, parents and coaches. About the coach: Amy Eggleston has been coaching gymnastics and has been a member of USA Gymnastics (USAG) since 1994. She is USAG Safety Certified, Professional Development Program (PDP) level one certified, Skill Evaluator certified and has been accredited by the Kinder Accreditation for Teachers (KAT). Eggleston coaches pre-school through competitive gymnastics and has coached numerous state champions, regional qualifiers and western qualifiers. She is currently the head coach of Ruidoso Gymnastics in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
