The Church with an Overshot Wheel is one of two surviving O. Henry stories (out of 94) produced by Vitagraph Studios from 1917 until 1924. Originally released in 1920 and restored in 2022, this black and white silent film is accompanied by an original musical score by silent film composer Donald Sosin. Synopsis - A grain miller lost his daughter and converted his mill into a church. This O. Henry short story was first published by Doubleday in 1911 in the book Sixes and Sevens.
