In these candid conversations, the candidates revealed insights about their thoughts, their feelings and their preparation for the most watched moments of their campaigns. DEBATING OUR DESTINY is the result of these hours of conversations. The two-part documentary, produced by MacNeil-Lehrer Productions, provides an unprecedented look into the U.S. presidential and vice presidential debates and their importance to the election process. This DVD set features the re-release of Debating Our Destiny I (2000) and Debating Our Destiny II (2008), as well the never-before-released extended interviews with nearly every presidential and vice-presidential candidate between 1976 and 2004.
