Synopsis
Featuring strong female characters portrayed by noir mainstays Linda Darnell, Leslie Brooks, Constance Worth and Rosemary DeCamp, "City Without Men" is a enthralling melodrama about four fiery women who congregate at a boarding house adjacent to the prison in which their men are incarcerated. With a score by the famed composer David Raksin, this witty and violent Poverty Row film also features a notable turn from "The Wizard of Oz's" Wicked Witch of the West herself, Margaret Hamilton.
