The dead come back to life and eat the living. Several people barricade themselves inside a rural house in an attempt to survive the night. Outside are hordes of relentless, shambling zombies who can only be killed by a blow to the head.

As Julie prepares to leave her husband Roger, she begins to play through a stack of recordings, each of which reminds her of events in their lives together. One of them is the song that was playing when she and Roger first met in a music store. Other songs remind her of their courtship, their marriage, their desire for a child, and the joys and sorrows that they have shared. A flood of memories comes back to her as she ponders their present problems and how they arose.

Pot o' Gold was radio's first big-money giveaway program, garnering huge ratings within weeks of it's debut and leading to a this 1941 romantic comedy film based on the radio program. The owner of a failed music shop goes to work with his uncle, the owner of a food factory. He befriends an Irish band who happens to be his uncle's worst enemy. Soon, Jimmy finds himself trying to help the band by getting them gigs and trying to get his uncle to reconcile with them.

The film was written by Nicholson himself and directed by the famous Monte Hellman. A group of cowboys, Vern (Mitchell), Wes (Nicholson) and Otis (Filer), unwittingly hole up for the night at the remote hide out of a gang of outlaws led by Blind Dick (Stanton). When the wake in the morning, they find themselves surrounded by a vigilante hanging party. Accused of crimes they did not commit, they end up fugitives on the run due to a case of mistaken identity.
