Synopsis

The legend of Robin Hood is given a grand retelling in this popular and long running series made for television (1955-58). Filmed in Great Britain with the handsome and dashing British actor Richard Greene as Robin, the "outlaws" of Sherwood Forest watch over the people of England and protect them from the cruelty and greed of the ruling aristocrats.

Dead Or Alive: Little John is being pursued by the authorities after embarrassing his lord and master. John is promised his freedom if he captures Robin Hood. This early episode tells the origins of Little John's relationship with Robin.

Pepper: A naive Byzantine princess is being romantically pursued by Prince John. Robin and Marian must prove to the Princess that John is more interested in her father's army than marrying her.

The Charter: Legend tells of a long lost charter signed by King Henry that limits the power of the nobles. The document is found in the possession of a dying lord and Robin Hood must get his hands on it before the Sheriff does.

The Profiteer: A remote village is suffering from famine, and a young man is sent out to seek aid from Robin Hood.
