Synopsis

A Parisian baron spends most of his free time philandering about town. He has no interest in marriage. But when he meets young Claudette, he reconsiders his way of life. Claudette is engaged to Victor, a local artist who sees the Baron for who he is. Despite Victor's efforts to convince her that the Baron is no good, Claudette finds herself falling in love with him.

Gilbert Roland's six decade career ran from the silent era all the way up until his death in the 1980s. Roland paved his way to success through such landmark movies as She Done Him Wrong (1933), The Sea Hawk (1940), and The Bad and the Beautiful (1952). The charismatic and comical Lew Cody began his acting career in regional theater and made his feature film debut in Raymond B. West's The Mating (1915). He starred in numerous silents and several talkies, often as a dashing scoundrel. Marion Shilling was an enchanting and graceful film actress best known for her leading roles in B-westerns of the 1930s. Chester M. Franklin helmed several silent shorts for the Majestic Film Company before directing feature-length movies starring top actresses Norma Talmadge, Dorothy Gish, Anna May Wong, Myrna Loy and others, often co-directing with his brother, Sidney.
