Synopsis
"Days of Our Lives" soap opera star Deidre Hall plays herself in this docudrama about her struggle to have a baby. After endless months of trying, Deidre discovered that she was unable to conceive, and out of desperation, decided to try in-vitro fertilization. Despite several failed attempts, the collapse of her marriage and a strained career, Deidre wanted a child more than ever. With the support of her new fiance, Steve Sohmer (Daniel Hugh Kelly, TV's "As the World Turns"), she decided to try the controversial option of using a surrogate mother.
