Synopsis

Giant Railroad action that railfans of all ages love to watch! All the excitement of watching big trains in action has now been captured in our newest 2 hour-long widescreen DVD release, Lots and Lots of Big Trains - Giant Railroad Action DVD! If you love trains, no matter what your age, we guarantee you will want to own Lots and Lots of Big Trains! A SPECIAL FEATURE OF THIS DVD ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY THE DVD WITH JUST TRAIN SOUNDS OR WITH TRAIN SOUNDS AND MUSIC! So you get the best of both kinds of train watching - just like being there and the enhancement that music can bring to a video! It is an exciting program featuring the ground-pounding sounds and close-up views of giant steam and diesel engines that shake the ground as they thunder on by. The blasts of the air horns and the shrill calls of the steam whistles are guaranteed to run chills up and down your spine. With no narration to interrupt, it s just like being right by the tracks, only better! Our camera crews have travelled all over the world to bring you spectacular footage of some of the biggest, most colorful and unique trains ever recorded on a single DVD. See the full-length of these amazing titans of the tracks, from engine to caboose, as they wind through beautiful mountains, country sides, cities and towns; many of which you will probably never see anywhere else! And, as a Special Bonus, you ll learn how Steam and Diesel locomotives work through the use of animated graphics and narration! Eveyone loves, Lots and Lots of Big Trains and so will you! Train action is at the core of both of these DVDs. Big Trains shows full-sized steam and diesel locomotives from powerful freight engines to a small narrow-gauge sugar railroad running at speed through various scenic locales in North America, South Africa, Wales, Java, and Poland. The camera angles from above, in front, and on board show the locomotives to their best advantage. There is no narration; segments are introduced by cursory title slides. The DVD can be viewed with musical accompaniment or without to amplify the engine sounds. Toy Trains is divided into ten sections with background music. It also lacks narration and detailed identification of scenes. A wide range of model railroading types are featured, from a live steam setup and a layout with trains, buildings, and scenery made from LEGOs to Halloween and Christmas holiday themes. While some of the designs highlight the toy-like qualities of the trains, others present amazing realism. The camera angles are low, giving the viewer the perspective of being in scale with the trains. One bonus program presents full-scale steam engines and another visits the Twin City Model Railroad Museum. -VERDICT Both DVDs will provide delightful viewing for anyone with a fondness for seeing trains in action.-Lawrence Maxted, Gannon Univ.
