Expert commentary is provided by the likes of actor Omar Sharif (Doctor Zhivago, 1965) and director Steven Spielberg (Saving Private Ryan, 1998). In A Night at the Movies: The Horrors of Stephen King, features best-selling author and filmmaker King, who takes viewers on a journey through the many varieties of horror films and examines why moviegoers long to befrightened. Along the way, he discusses the movies that had an impact on his writing, including Night of the Living Dead (1968), as well as titles adapted from his own works such as Carrie (1976), The Shining (1980) and many more. A Night at the Movies: Merry Christmas! looks at perennial favorites like It's a Wonderful Life (1946) and Miracle on 34th Street (1947), and examines variations within the genre, such as holiday romances and family movies. Behind-the-scenes stories are shared by actor Chevy Chase (National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, 1989), actress Margaret O'Brien (Meet Me in St. Louis, 1944) and many other industry insiders.
